Notifications and staying signed in
Choose what shows in your notification bell, and stay signed in on your own computer so you're not asked to log in again.
Two of the handiest personal settings live under your own account: what lands in your notification bell, and whether Atelier Studio keeps you signed in on the computer you’re using. Both are personal to you, so changing them doesn’t affect your staff or your customers.
To find them, open the menu under your name at the bottom of the sidebar (on a phone, tap More) and go to your Account.
Your notification bell
The bell at the top of Atelier Studio is your running list of what’s happening in your studio: a new booking, a cancellation, a customer payment, a signed waiver, a reply on a support ticket. These are on by default, so you’ll see studio activity there from day one without switching anything on.
Want a quieter bell? Under Account → Notification Preferences, turn off any category you’d rather not be notified about. The rest keep coming. This is your bell, so changing it doesn’t affect what your teammates see.
Getting notified when the app is closed
If you’d like your computer or phone to notify you even when Atelier Studio isn’t open, turn on browser notifications in the same place. Your browser will ask for permission first, so this stays off until you say yes. It’s an extra layer on top of the bell, and the categories you’ve chosen decide what gets sent.
The Notifications page
The bell shows your latest items. To see everything in one place, open the bell and choose View all notifications, or choose All in Recent activity on your dashboard. This opens the Notifications page.
- Filters. Use All, Needs attention, Bookings, and Money to narrow the list. If you are also an instructor, you see My classes too. It shows items about the classes you teach, and it uses your studio’s own word for classes.
- Grouped by day. Items are grouped under Today, Yesterday, and then by date. The days follow your studio’s time zone. Items you have not read yet have a dot.
- Needs attention. Some items have a Needs attention label. These are items that someone should act on, for example when a class was moved. Choose Got it when it is handled. The item closes, and it then shows Handled by and the name of the person who closed it, so your team can see it is done.
- Grouped notices. Several similar notices can share one row, for example 3 new bookings. Choose the row to open it and see each notice.
- Open the related page. Choose a row to mark it as read. If the item is about a class, a private lesson, or a student, the page for it opens.
- Mark all as read. Choose Mark all as read to clear every dot at once.
- Older items. Choose Show older to load older notices.
Staying signed in on this browser
To keep front-desk computers safe, Atelier Studio signs you out after a stretch of inactivity. On a shared machine that’s exactly what you want, but on your own computer it’s just one more login to do.
The first time you sign in, we ask: Do you want to stay signed in on this browser? Choose Yes, keep me signed in and Atelier Studio won’t sign you out on its own, or pick an automatic sign-out time instead. You can change your mind anytime under Account → Security → Automatic sign-out: choose Never to stay signed in, or any of the timed options.
This choice is remembered for the browser you’re on, just like your text size and theme, so your laptop can stay signed in while the shared front-desk computer keeps signing out.
