Practice logs
Assign students pieces to practice, see what they log at home, and leave feedback.
Practice logs keep home practice and lessons connected. You assign a student a piece or a goal, they log the time they put in from their own account, and you leave feedback the next time you see them. It’s built for music lessons and any studio where practice between classes is the point.
Assigning practice
Open a student from your directory and find the Practice card on their Overview. Select Assign, name what they should work on (like “Suzuki Book 2, Minuet 1”), and optionally set a due date. It shows up on their profile (and in their own account) as something to practice.
You can edit an assignment, mark it done when they’ve got it, or remove it. Removing an assignment keeps any practice they already logged against it.
What the student logs
From their account, the student (or their parent) logs a session against a studio: the date, how many minutes they practised, optionally which assignment it was for, and a note about how it went. Those sessions show up on the Practice card so you can see what’s been happening between lessons.
Leaving feedback
Select Review on a logged session to add two notes:
- A note to the student, which they’ll see on their own account.
- An internal note that stays with your team.
It’s the same private-vs-shared split you use elsewhere: anything you mark internal is never shown to the customer.
